Refer to the following information for the next four questions.

A square loop of wire of side 0.5 meters and resistance 0.01 ohms is located in a uniform magnetic field of intensity 0.4 T directed out of the page as shown. The magnitude of the field is decreased to zero at a constant rate in 2 seconds.
As the field is decreased, what are the magnitude of the emf induced in the loop?

What are the magnitude and direction of the current induced in the loop?

How many flux lines were initially passing through the loop of wire?

If the loop were to be accidentally placed in the field so that its axis made an angle of 37º with the field lines, how many flux lines would then pass through the loop?

Refer to the following information for the next three questions.

In the diagram shown above, B = 1T,  R = 2Ω, and l = 0.5 meters.
What must be the speed of the sliding bar when the current through the resistor is 0.5 amps?

The current through the bar will flow

How large is the external force required to move the bar towards the right at a constant velocity?
