Test Scenarios

During the last twenty years of teaching, my tests contained up to 3 scenarios along with multiple choice questions. For those who are interested, I have provided below some my test scenarios.

Advanced Freefall - includes knowledge of freefall, FBD, PE, KE, conservation of energy, impulse, impact force, work
Drag - includes knowledge of dynamic equilibriunm, air resistance, FBD, terminal velocity, kinematics, geometry of a circle
Horizontally Released Projectile - includes knowledge of freefall, kinematics, trigonometry, range, PE, KE, conservation of energy
Velocity-Time Graphs - includes knowledge of linear graphs, kinematics, PE, KE, conservation of energy, impulse
Inclined Plane - includes knowledge of linear graphs, FBD, trigonometry, graph shapes for uniformly accelerated motion
Spring Gun - includes knowledge of potential energy of a spring, impulse, trigonometry, freefall, horizontally released projectiles, conservation of energy
Recording Plate - includes knowledge of rectifying graphs, linear regression, slope, freefall, onservation of energy
Coffee Filters - includes knowledge of rectifying graphs, linear regression, slope, dynamic equilibrium, terminal velocity, drag, graph shapes for constant velocity
Vertically Released Projectiles - includes knowledge of quadratic formula, freefall, PE, KE, conservation of energy, impulse, kinematics equations
Knots and Pulley - includes knowledge of static equilibrium, FBDs, vectors, vector components, trignonmetry, simultaneous equations
Torque - includes knowledge of torque, static equilibrium, rotational equilibrium, metric conversions, weight, forces, moment arms
Tossed Ball (Flipping Physics) - includes knowledge of kinematics equations, conservation of energy, PE, KE, impulse, freefall, position-time graphs, velocity-time graphs, momentum
History of Matter - includes knowledge of famous scientists and experiments
Quantized Mass - includes knowledge of properties of lines, experimental procedure
DC circuit - includes knowledge of Ohm's Law, Joule's Law, resistors in series and in parallel, terminal voltage
Bulb Brightness - includes knowledge of Ohm's Law, Joule's Law, resistors in series and in parallel, brightness, power
An Inlined Plane Experiment - includes knowledge of video analysis, kinematics, graphing data, FBD, trigonometry
An Inertial Mass Experiment - includes knowledge of lines, mass, vibrations, period
Ball Rolling Down an Inclined Plane - includes knowledge of linearizing a parabolic function, average velocity, acceleration
Suspended Mass Experiment - includes knowledge of tension, vector components, trig, static equilbrium, weight
Exoplanet Data - includes knowledge of scientific notation, metric system, Kelper's constant, Universal Gravitation, circular motion
Velocity-time Graph - includes knowledge of velocity-time graphs, position-time graphs, kinematics, acceleraton due to gravity, 2D projectiles
2nd and 3rd Law Forces - includes knowledge of velocity-time graphs, position-time graphs, kinematics, acceleraton due to gravity, 2D projectiles

Force Probe Experiment - includes knowledge of static friction, kinetic friction, coefficients of friction
Oscillating Spring-Mass Scenario - includes knowledge of resonance, period, amplitude, energy
